Meet The Owner:
Chef Soulstice Williams
My journey started in high school where I competed in national culinary competitions. That’s all it took for my love of food to flourish. While attending one of the country’s top culinary institutes Johnson & Wales in Miami, Florida I was able to work at and open some of the finest restaurants in the area including the Michelin awarded Four seasons Each experience brought me incredible knowledge and expertise. Though it wasn’t until I moved home to help take care of my grandmother that I realized the key ingredient is personal connection; the ability to change the course of someone’s day with an amazing meal accompanied by good conversation. While working in an exposed chocolate lab for the past year, I have realized the importance of connecting with guests: answering their questions, letting them see each detail and even taking part in the process. Being able to help make memories for others on a more personal level planted the seed that eventually grew into Soulstice Treasures. So please, give me the opportunity to let me lighten your load so you can make some memories!

Our October Herb of the Month:
Lemon Balm
I am super excited about this one! I have been growing lemon balm for a few years and never truly understood its powers. What it’s most known for is its ability to improve sleep, reduce anxiety and promote relaxation, similar to lavender. However, lemon balm is also a light sedative and can be used as a muscle relaxer. It can also help brain function and help with brain fog. The chemical compound of lemon balm is very interesting because it affects the central nervous system. The two most common chemicals naturally found in this herb are rosmarinic and caffeic acid. The therapeutic potentials include antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, and anticancer activities. These two chemicals are used in many common treatment’s present day. The difference between over the counter and natural herbs is the lack of side effects.
A few ways to use Lemon Balm:
As a tincture or tea if you’re feeling bloated, upset stomach, depressed, stressed, unfocused or have trouble sleeping.
Use it as a lotion or salve if you have cold sores, blisters, sore muscles and with open cuts as a disinfectant
Lemon balm can be an amazing alternative for melatonin,
Tylenol, certain muscle relaxers, and high concentrated sedatives. With
that being said, it’s not recommended to mix this herb with other over the
counter medications with similar properties. But of course, always do your
own research to make sure this herb is right for you!
